Dr Louise Allport

Dr Louise Allport (BMed, PhD, FRACP) is a staff Specialist in Neurology and Stroke and Head of Department at St George Hospital in Sydney. She trained in Neurology at St George, Royal Prince Alfred and Royal Melbourne Hospitals. She completed a Stroke Fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital as well as a PhD with the University of Melbourne. Her thesis explored the evaluation, characterisation and impact of disordered physiological variables following acute ischaemic stroke using MRI techniques under the supervision of Professor Stephen Davis. Dr Allport practices as a general neurologist with particular interest and expertise in acute and chronic stroke assessment and management as well as other neurovascular disorders.
